There is an ancient Oriental saying that states, "The journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step." We at Asheville SCORE would add that it's probably a good idea to be headed in the right direction when that step is taken. Our Great Beginnings seminar is designed to point the new or potential business owner in the right direction. This seminar provides an overview of the various structural elements and issues that every business must face: the Business Plan, Record Keeping (for tax/inventory/accounting), Legal Structure, Financing the business and Risk Management via Insurance (workers' comp and liability). Any person starting a business without this knowledge may be heading for the cliff while admiring the clouds in the sky!

Four speakers will bring their expertise to you in an easy-to-grasp manner. Each speaker will provide free handouts covering his or her area.
